What is Tape Bird?
Tape Bird is a gift-only app for making a personal mixtape — songs, a voice intro, and a custom label — and sending it to one specific person as a cassette they unwrap.
How do packs work?
You buy a pack of tapes (3, 5, or 10) as an in-app purchase. Each tape in a pack lets you send one gift. Packs and tapes never expire.
Does the person I send to have to pay?
No. Receiving and opening a tape is always free. They download Tape Bird at no cost to unwrap your gift.
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
You can create and send a tape without one. To hear full songs instead of 30-second previews, the person listening needs an active Apple Music subscription on their device.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. See our Terms for details.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account from inside the app, or request deletion by email. See Delete your account.
I sent a tape to the wrong person / want to take it back.
Open the tape in your library and use “Send again” to reissue the link, or contact us at help@tapebird.com and we’ll help.
