Delete your account and data

You can delete your Tape Bird account at any time. Here’s how, and what happens to your data.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Tape Bird on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t access the app, email privacy@tapebird.com from the email associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. We’ll complete verified deletion requests within [30] days.

What gets deleted

What we may keep

We may retain a limited amount of information where we’re required to by law or for legitimate business reasons — for example, transaction and purchase records needed for accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Where we keep such records, we minimize and, where possible, anonymize them. Note that purchases are processed by Apple; Apple keeps its own billing records under its policies.

A note about tapes you already sent

Deleting your account removes your library and stops future delivery, but a tape someone already opened may persist in their own library on their device. If you want to revoke a specific gift link, do that in the app before deleting your account, or contact us for help.
